I was just re-reading a piece from a magazine which I edited in the 1990s

I was just re-reading a piece from a magazine which I edited in the 1990s, about “the ideal supplier”. There are some amusing mentions of historic curiosities like fax machines and floppy disks, but the principles haven’t changed one bit. The writer, a stressed-out design engineer, pleads with suppliers to try to understand customers like himself, and think about more than the bottom line. (more…)
