Start with the news release Accelerometers obtain hazardous-area certification from Wilcoxon Research, which we summarised at the time by saying "Wilcoxon Research has announced an additional intrinsically safe certification in accordance with IECEx requirements for six general-purpose accelerometers.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release SKF systems boost uptime of Isis neutron choppers from SKF UK: "SKF rolling bearings and condition monitoring systems are maximising the uptime of precision devices used in the Isis neutron and muon source at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire.".
 
In October 2009, we covered the news from Inertial Aerosystems UK - take a look at SD1500 enables high-volume sensor production which says: "Inertial Aerosystems has released the SD1500, a MEMS-based true tactical inertial measurement unit manufactured by Systron Donner Inertial. ".
