We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Backplanes", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Quad core platforms suit multitasking from IEI Technology Corp, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Intel Q965 Express chipset integrated on all IEI quad-core platforms is interfaced to an 8Mbyte L2 cache Intel Core 2 Quad processor through a 1066MHz front side bus". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Industrial computers are ready for Windows Vista from Amplicon: "Rack-mount industrial computers based on PICMG-compliant single board computers and backplanes are Windows Vista capable".

In September 2006, we covered the news from Amplicon - take a look at Industrial computer expansion at Electronica which says: "Amplicon will exhibit at Electronica 2006 showcasing a totally new solutions division and two new industrial computer ranges, Ventrix-W and Impact-E".

Take a look also at the news release from Amplicon, Flagship industrial PC gains dual-core CPU, as well as Workstation meets harsh environmental needs from Axiomtek, and Harting celebrates 25 years in the UK from Harting.
