‘Barcode Scanner’

A Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release NVision reverse engineers steam turbine core from NVision, which we summarised at the time by saying "NVision's contract service division has reverse engineered the complete core of a steam turbine for a major original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in only six weeks.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Wide field of view for scanning head laser systems from Aerotech: "Aerotech's Nmark SSaM (Synchronised Scanner and Motion) extends the application potential for galvanometer-based laser scanners.".

In October 2008, we covered the news from SICK (UK) - take a look at SICK introduces code reader for harsh conditions which says: "The SICK ICR845-2 Image Code Reader Series reads 1D and 2D Data Matrix ECC200 codes for traceability, safety and identification. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Pro-face UK, Pro-face releases the APL3000 industrial PC range, as well as Metris releases multi-sensor metrology software from Metris, and Metris streamlines digital inspection process from Metris.
