‘Cern’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Scientists improve complex workflow procedures from University of the West of England, which we summarised at the time by saying "Computer scientists in the CCS research centre at the University of the West of England have developed Cristal (Co-operating Repositories and Information Systems for Tracking Assembly Lifecycles). ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Power Systems wins Hadron Collider project award from Power Systems International: "Power Systems International and its German business partners Transtechnik have shared success in the initiation of the 'first beam' switch-on of the Large Hadron Collider Project.".

In April 2007, we covered the news from Lloyd Instruments - take a look at University purchases materials testing machine which says: "The Particle Physics Group at Liverpool University is set to use an LRXPlus single column materials testing machine from Lloyd Instruments to characterise carbon-fibre support frames for detectors.".

Take a look also at the news release from Vector Fields, Software simulates fields precisely, as well as Coriolis meters improve LNG measurement from Emerson Process Management - Flow Division, and Adhesive holds nuclear research together from Huntsman Advanced Materials.
