Start with the news release Safety inspection service launched from Motion Drives and Controls, which we summarised at the time by saying "Factory-trained staff carry out a complete assessment of the condition of the safety or sliding chuck at the customer's site". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Personnel certification scheme launched from Sira: "Competence Professional is the only UKAS-accredited certification scheme to assess the competence of individuals working in or associated with hazardous areas".
 
In April 2007, we covered the news from IML Events - take a look at Travelling seminar programme updated which says: "The proceedings of HazardEx In The Regions will cover nonelectrical and electrical requirements, the issues of competency, repair and overhaul, arc flash and effective structuring of the Ex framework".
