We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Computer Aided Design", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Technology helps refurbish vintage trains from AMAP (University of Sunderland), which we summarised at the time by saying "Digital Factory's new Digital Factory Resource Centre provides North East businesses with advice, training and the latest digital technologies". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Programme membership adds PLM to measurement from NVision: "NVision offers PTC's industry leading mechanical computer aided design (MCAD) and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Micromech concerning its Isel CNCmachine - take a look at CNC machines bring down carving costs which says: "The Isel machine is designed for production routing and drilling on a wide variety of materials including wood, plastic, MDF, solid surfacing materials and nonferrous metals".

Take a look also at the news release from Flomerics, Simulation software receives user approval, as well as Programme promotes rapid manufacturing from National Metals Technology Centre (NAMTEC), and Metal processing techniques improve production from Tecan.
