We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Concurrent Engineering", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Software cuts radio development time by two thirds from PTC - Parametric Technology (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "Tait knew it was imperative to identify problems up-front in order to avoid the late-stage tooling changes that slow a product's market launch". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Thermal analyser integrated into modelling system from Ansys: "The SINDA/G for Ansys Workbench plug-in allows users to use thermal features without needing to know the format of SINDA/G or thermal radiation codes".

In September 2006, we covered the news from CoCreate Software concerning its OneSpace Designer Modeling - take a look at Look beyond the surface of 3D modelling which says: "3D CAD is sometimes not seen for all it offers: people are frequently so enamoured with the 3D visuals that they forget to look deeper for the real value of this approach".

Take a look also at the news release from ESI Group, Composite simulation meets Airbus requirements, as well as Aerotech picks Solid Edge from UGS, and Software digitises ship design from PTC - Parametric Technology (UK).
