‘Displacement Transducers’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Pressure transducers measure up to 20,000psig from Endevco, which we summarised at the time by saying "Endevco has announced the 8511A series, a range of piezoresistive gauge pressure transducers designed for maximum reliability in extreme measurement environments. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Instron unveils SI Series impact testing machine from Instron: "Instron has introduced the SI Series motorised pendulum impact testing machine (Model SI-1M) with Fracta software for the data acquisition and calculation of energy.".

In November 2009, we covered the news from Able Instruments and Controls - take a look at Able Widebeam clamp-on flowmeters measure gas flow which says: "The Able range of Widebeam Ultrasonic Clamp-on Flowmeters offers advanced, accurate and reliable ultrasonic metering technology for gas-flow applications.".

Take a look also at the news release from Eaton, Eaton launches Memshield 3 distribution boards, as well as RDP transducers give direct analogue output from RDP Electronics, and Diamond actuators suit aerospace applications from Noliac.
