We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Distributed Motion Control", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release PAC controller handles complex systems from SolutionsPT, which we summarised at the time by saying "HardwarePT, a division within SolutionsPT Limited has released it is now marketing and providing full technical support for Advantech's latest generation of PAC controllers - designated ADAM-5550KW". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Servo drives provide speed and versatility from Copley Controls Corp: "Copley Controls has released two open standard EtherCAT-compatible Accelnet servo drives".

In February 2007, we covered the news from ABB Automation Tech (Drives and Motors) concerning its Machinery drive - take a look at Standard AC drives enter servo performance arena which says: "Machinery builders can now specify one drive for a variety of motor types along with an appropriate feedback device, depending on the application".

Take a look also at the news release from ODVA, Company showcases Ethernet/IP, as well as CIP protocol solves communication challenges from Rockwell Automation, and I/O module simplifies system building from Copley Controls Corp.
