"Electrostatic Discharge"...

We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Electrostatic Discharge", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Sealed accelerometer raises reeliability from Wilcoxon Research, which we summarised at the time by saying "The 787F accelerometer's integral cable is permanently mounted, eliminating a common concern that contaminants can penetrate the connector". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release PVC retains antistatic properties from Polymer-Chemie: "Unlike plastics with an antistatic finish, Polymer-Chemie's permanently antistatic compounds do not even require particular ambient conditions to retain their effect".

In October 2007, we covered the news from Elesa (UK) concerning its Elesa ESD variants - take a look at Material protects against electrostatic discharge which says: "ESD variants will provide piece of mind in production and rework areas such as circuit board assembly or chip insertion equipment".

Take a look also at the news release from British Plastics Federation, Plastics seminar planned for London, as well as Website is dedicated to hazard-matched cables from Alpha Wire International, and Cables are made for extreme environments from Alpha Wire International.
