We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Emergency Shutdown Systems", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Safety isolators cut power consumption from MTL Instruments Group, which we summarised at the time by saying "The reduced power consumption and high efficiency of the isolators enables high signal densities to be achieved, together with improved freedom in cabinet layout and design". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Safety controller company expands into Italy from Hima Paul Hildebrandt: "Logitec Automazione has been actively representing HIMA in Italy since 1987 in the area of safety-related controllers, an area which will now be further expanded".

In March 2007, we covered the news from Sira concerning its CASS certification - take a look at CASS certification provides reassurance which says: "Hima-Sella's Marketing Manager, Janet Smith, looks back at how CASS certification has brought many benefits to Hima-Sella's safety systems business".

Take a look also at the news release from Invensys Triconex, Mexican offshore projects to upgrade safety, as well as Brazil refineries install emergency shutdown gear from Invensys Triconex, and Gas plant Scada contract covers 10,000 I/Os from Invensys.
