An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Gefran expands vector inverter range from Gefran SIEI UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "Gefran has expanded its ADV200 line of high-performance, field-oriented control (FOC) vector inverters, adding three larger frame sizes with heavy duty overload power now available up to 1.2MW.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release WEG adds IP54 capability to CFW-11 inverter from WEG Electric Motors (UK): "WEG has extended the application range of its benchmark CFW-11 variable-frequency inverter, with an IP54 variant of the highly successful plug-and-play drive. ".

In June 2009, we covered the news from IDEC Electronics - take a look at IDEC safety controller is easily configured which says: "IDEC has announced that its Safetyone FS1A safety controller can replace up to six safety relay modules with no programming.".

Take a look also at the news release from IFM Electronic, IFM introduces Smartline AC030S, as well as C4000 light curtain provides personnel safety from SICK (UK), and Mitsubishi reveals integrated safety relay from Mitsubishi Electric Automation Systems.
