‘Engineered Fluids’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release DC motors engineered for transportation purposes from Ametek Technical and Industrial Products, which we summarised at the time by saying "Rotron brushless DC motors from Ametek, engineered for applications on board heavy-duty transit buses, coaches and other vehicles, deliver long-life power solutions serving up to 60,000 hours.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Renishaw Tonic benefits wide-format printing from Renishaw: "Renishaw's Tonic incremental linear-encoder system offers advantages for wide-format printing. ".

In November 2009, we covered the news from Instron - take a look at Instron introduces syringe test fixture which says: "Instron has introduced a syringe test fixture designed to investigate the forces necessary to collect force-versus-time data to evaluate the performance of syringes and syringe-needle combinations.".

Take a look also at the news release from Laser Design, NIST installs 3D scanning system from Laser Design, as well as PH30F diaphragm pumps transfer viscous fluids from Ingersoll-Rand European Sales, and ITT field-attachable PCCs join down-hole cables from ITT Interconnect Solutions.
