We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Engineered Fluids", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Strategies for trike replacement from Guyson International, which we summarised at the time by saying "Everyone is keen to tell you what you can't do any more - this article suggests alternative parts cleaning strategies". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Solvent switch helps answer environmental concerns from 3M UK Electro-Telecom Division: "BAE Systems' Electronics site has shifted from trichloroethylene to 3M Novec HFE-72DE fluid from Acota for the solvent cleaning of delicate sonar transducers during manufacture".

In August 2002, we covered the news from 3M Speciality Materials concerning its HFE-based Novec solvents - take a look at Green cleaning in Ireland which says: "Three Irish medical device manufacturers have recently switched to HFE-based Novec solvents".

Take a look also at the news release from 3M Speciality Materials, Solvent alternatives meet Renishaw requirements, as well as Faster component cleaning for British Airways from 3M Speciality Materials, and HCFC replacements for precision cleaning from 3M Speciality Materials.
