We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Enhanced Capital Allowance", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Variable-speed compressors come with cashback from CompAir UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "A free energy review and at least GBP 750 cashback are the incentives when an old compressor is replaced with a new energy-saving variable-speed Hydrovane machine". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Government offers tax breaks for saving energy from Lafert Electric Motors: "Lafert's AMHE High Efficiency range and its two-speed motors have approval and listing within the ETPL".

In June 2007, we covered the news from CompAir UK concerning its Screw compressor reduces costs and noise - take a look at Screw compressor reduces costs and noise which says: "The L80 also delivers noise levels of 69dB(A), meaning that it is easy to stand next to the compressor and have a conversation, with no need for users to wear ear protection".

Take a look also at the news release from WEG Electric Motors (UK), High-efficiency motors explained, as well as Drives keep components and wiring to a minimum from Leroy Somer, and Drives raise efficiency in HVAC applications from Danfoss Drives.
