‘Ethernet Switches’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Industrial Hotspots target video/voice apps from Prosoft Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Prosoft has announced the 802.11n Industrial Hotspot solutions, which are designed to provide greater flexibility and performance to a range of manufacturing and production applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release DSB uses 6KQs for 'Ethernet backbone' in trains from Garrettcom: "Danish state rail operator DSB is using 6KQ Ethernet switches from Garrettcom to give its trains an 'Ethernet backbone'.".

In March 2010, we covered the news from Prosoft Technology - take a look at Prosoft launches Modbus modules for Rockwell PACs which says: "Prosoft has released the MVI56E Modbus TCP/IP Multi-Client Enhanced Communication Modules (MVI56E-MNETC/CR) for Rockwell Controllogix Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs). ".

Take a look also at the news release from Libelium, Libelium to attend three wireless events in 2010, as well as Controllers enable high-temperature processing from National Instruments, and Orbit3 system networks all industrial sensor types from Solartron Metrology.
