We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Finite Element Model", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Simulation technology used for wind turbines from LMS International, which we summarised at the time by saying "TUV SUD is implementing the LMS Virtual.Lab durability software to identify fatigue hotspots and assess their effect on component reliability". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Student racers sponsored on three fronts from Corus Automotive: "Corus is once again supporting some of Europe's leading student race teams - the Universities of Birmingham, Delft and Warwick - in the 2006 International Formula Student programme".

In November 2005, we covered the news from Algor concerning its Multi-platform support - take a look at Multi-platform support for Windows, Linux and Unix which says: "Algor, a provider of design, analysis and simulation software, has announced support for the following hardware platforms: 64bit Microsoft Windows, 32- and 64bit Linux and 64bit Unix workstations".

Take a look also at the news release from Algor, FEA software aids forensic investigations, as well as FEA aids healing of animal bones from Algor, and Simulator predicts low-frequency phenomena from ESI Group.
