‘Flexible Coupling’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Actuator system for sampling applications from Heason Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Heason Technology has launched a low-cost modular actuator range for pick-and-place and sample dispensing in life science and other analytical equipment applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release NI expands HIL simulation platform from National Instruments: "National Instruments (NI) has announced the expansion of its hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation platform, which includes numerous products to optimise embedded system validation. ".

In November 2009, we covered the news from Comsol - take a look at Comsol release accesses cluster-compute power which says: "With the release of Multiphysics v4.0 for Windows HPC Server 2008 (HPCS), current users of a Comsol Multiphysics floating network licence will have free, unlimited access to cluster-compute power.".

Take a look also at the news release from ITW Plexus, Designing joints and structural adhesives, as well as Misumi bumper mitigates shock in automated devices from Misumi, and Robot to inspect nozzle welds in nuclear reactors from Phoenix Inspection Systems.
