We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Galvanic Isolation", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Transmitters suit varied applications from Baumer Group, which we summarised at the time by saying "FlexTop versions 2211, 2221 and 2231 allow the input to be configured for a resistance thermometer as well as for thermocouples, resistance sensors and current or voltage signals". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Communications isolator makes displays safer from Beka associates: "The new BA201 communications isolator has RS232 and RS485 safe area ports enabling multidrop display systems to be constructed".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Pepperl+Fuchs GB concerning its FieldConnex Ethernet isolators - take a look at Ethernet isolators tolerate hazardous jobs which says: "FieldConnex Ethernet Isolators combine intrinsically safe energy limitation and galvanic isolation in one product".

Take a look also at the news release from DeltaSense, Inverter drive offers easy startup, as well as Sensors handle tough environments from Baumer Group, and Routers handle harsh environments from Westermo Data Communications.
