Start with the news release Internal Diameter Gripper holds irregular parts from SAS Automation, which we summarised at the time by saying "SAS Automation has introduced an Internal Diameter Gripper (IDG) for parts that are heavy, fragile or have an irregular shape.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Herma uses label detection sensors from Leuze from Leuze Electronic: "Herma, a manufacturer of self-adhesive labels and label machinery, has been using sensors from Leuze Electronic to detect, identify and protect personnel in its new warehouse and logistics centre.".
 
In August 2009, we covered the news from Ace Controls International - take a look at Ace vibration sensors detect local malfunctions which says: "Ace Controls International, an automation control equipment manufacturer, has introduced a vibration sensor for process monitoring that detects local malfunctions in the automation process.".
