We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Harmonic Distortion", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Digital metering supports Ethernet communication from Tyco Electronics - Energy Division, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Integra 1630 DMS with Ethernet module acts as a BACnet/IP server device and may be queried by a BACnet/IP client device which conforms to the BACnet/IP protocol". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release The true price of power supply harmonics from Block UK: "Bob Liddle explains how to reduce the effects of harmonic distortion on power supply lines, thereby eliminating equipment failures and cutting production downtime, repair and replacement costs".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Eurotherm concerning its EPower Controllers - take a look at Power controllers offer flexible configuration which says: "By using iTools customers can easily check the status of parameters, make changes or diagnose the unit either on a test bench or in the field without disturbing the process".

Take a look also at the news release from Tyco Electronics - Energy Division, Digital meter gets the measure of power, as well as Compensator improves network power quality from ABB Power Technologies, and Ethernet communications added to metering system from Tyco Electronics - Energy Division.
