We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Hazardous Material", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Level sensor is approved for marine duties from SensorsOne, which we summarised at the time by saying "The LMK457 tank level sensor measures the hydrostatic pressure of a wide range of liquids that are found on marine vessels such as oil tankers and bulk carriers". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Source to cut demand for radioactive materials from Applied Nanotech: "Contract covers the development of a carbon nanotube based ioniser source to replace nuclear radioactive sources in commercial applications".

In June 2006, we covered the news from Allison Engineering concerning its Teflon Spray-Guard - take a look at Guards help with ATEX compliance which says: "Allisons' Teflon Spray-Guard is a multilayered, Teflon-coated, glass-fibre safety shield which can be made to exactly fit any pipe fitting".

Take a look also at the news release from Diamond Ground Products, Electrodes are noncarcinogenic alternative, as well as Liquid level indicator goes to extremes from K-Tek, and Level switches tackle challenging measurements from K-Team.
