We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Hydraulic Cylinder", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Sealed sensors are positioned for long life from Macro Sensors, which we summarised at the time by saying "Position sensors have no parts that wear out, offering unlimited cycle life and greater performance than a potentiometer". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Small force sensor offers mounting options from RDP Electronics: "For applications when space is limited, such as fluid power transfer, hydraulic piston monitoring or structural development tests, then the Model 3124 from RDP Electronics could prove the answer".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Macro Sensors concerning its HSE/HSER 750 Series - take a look at Metric LVDTs are sealed against ingress which says: "The HSE and HSER 750 Series of 19.0mm-diameter DC-operated LVDTs are hermetically sealed, making them impervious to dirt, water, steam and other corrosive elements".

Take a look also at the news release from Micromech, Converting from hydraulics to an electric actuator, as well as Filtration carts enable cruise ship upgrade from Parker Hannifin, and Controller prevents six weeks of downtime from Moog Controls.
