We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "IEC Standard", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Sealed sensors are positioned for long life from Macro Sensors, which we summarised at the time by saying "Position sensors have no parts that wear out, offering unlimited cycle life and greater performance than a potentiometer". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Metric LVDTs are sealed against ingress from Macro Sensors: "The HSE and HSER 750 Series of 19.0mm-diameter DC-operated LVDTs are hermetically sealed, making them impervious to dirt, water, steam and other corrosive elements".

In July 2007, we covered the news from Macro Sensors concerning its HSI/R 750 position transmitters - take a look at Position transducers suit tough environments which says: "Macro Sensors' HSI/R 750 series of hermetically sealed, loop-powered 4-20mA position transmitters is designed for mechanical position measurement where a hard connection can be made to a test piece".

Take a look also at the news release from Macro Sensors, Linear position sensors tolerate radioactivity, as well as Website teaches visitors about EDDL from ISA, and PLC libraries added to automation software from Hayes Control Systems.
