We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Impact Resistance", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Re-inforced PVC boosts strength and stiffness from Polymer-Chemie, which we summarised at the time by saying "The new material's increased strength and stiffness will usually permit a reduction in wall thickness while keeping product characteristics unchanged". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Primer offers long-term corrosion resistance from Scott Bader Company: "Texicryl 13-600 is a water-based primer of that provides 500 hours of salt spray resistance".

In December 2007, we covered the news from CML Innovative Technologies concerning its Connect and Glo - take a look at LED lights are easy to apply on the rails which says: "LED lighting units can cope easily with extreme temperatures and are highly suited to impact resistance and vibrations, making them ideal for railway applications".

Take a look also at the news release from Sabic Innovative Plastics, Company boosts polycarbonate production, as well as General-purpose enclosures offer resilience from Spelsberg els UK, and Epoxy report aids composite choices from Smithers Rapra.
