We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Inductive Sensor", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Sensor solves speaker problem from Contrinex UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "A Contrinex Sensor DW-AD-403-C5 was chosen to check that a connector terminal had been correctly positioned and moulded into each speaker housing". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Inductive sensors fit in small applications from IFM Electronic: "IFM electronic M8 inductive sensors have a constant correction factor and a constant sensing range on all metals such as steel, brass, aluminium or stainless steel".

In May 2007, we covered the news from Contrinex UK concerning its Contrinex 620 sensor - take a look at Tiny M8 inductive sensor released which says: "Contrinex' new M8 inductive sensor is packaged into a housing only 16mm long".

Take a look also at the news release from IFM Electronic, Inductive sensors are certified fail-safe, as well as Inductive sensor is ATEX certified from 4B Braime Elevator Components, and Inductive sensor is as rugged as they come from Balluff UK.
