‘ip20’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Acromag power supplies available in nine models from Acromag, which we summarised at the time by saying "Acromag is offering a space-saving series of power supplies with universal input power and worldwide industry approvals.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Drive module incorporates safe-torque-off feature from ABB Automation Tech (Drives and Motors): "ABB's ACS850 drive module features onboard safe torque off, a removable memory block, a user interface with assistant wizards, a built-in energy-saving calculator and modular hardware and software.".

In September 2009, we covered the news from Cressall Resistors - take a look at Dynamic braking resistors are enclosed to IP20 which says: "Cressall Resistors has introduced its HP series of high-performance dynamic braking resistors (DBRs), which is said to be ideal for use on cranes, winches, conveyors and test loads.".

Take a look also at the news release from Vishay Nobel, G4 instruments now feature remote-access function, as well as Danfoss M5 expands Micro Drive family from Danfoss Drives, and SCS launches sensorless vector frequency inverters from System Control Solutions.
