We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "IP40", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Elbow fittings protect automotive wiring from Harnessflex, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Harnessflex EPS 28-70-25 elbow fitting simply snaps together and provides protection for both slit and unslit conduits, including NC, CTPA, modified PP and deep section PP". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Wiring fitting handles slit and unslit conduits from Harnessflex: "The XPS 1208 two-piece symmetrical modular fitting is designed to snap together over slit and unslit conduit and enable cables to be slotted into a wiring harness".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Harnessflex concerning its Harnessflex straight and 90 degree interfaces - take a look at Interfaces protect automotive wiring which says: "The 90 degree interface is designed to allow conduit to switch through 360 degrees around the connector housing".

Take a look also at the news release from Applied Measurements, Sensor range offers greater accuracy, as well as Enclosures come ready to install from Schneider Electric, and Cylinders offer high-accuracy positioning from Festo.
