We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Lead-acid Batteries", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Flywheel provides 'green' DC energy from Chloride Power Protection, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Vycon V DC140 flywheel can be paralleled for higher power applications and offers the opportunity to replace lead-acid batteries". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Lead-acid batteries cover all applications from PowerPax UK: "A number of different series are available, low covering all applications with fast delivery and very competitive prices".

In October 2007, we covered the news from Saft Industrial Batteries concerning its Saft Matrics MRX rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries - take a look at Batteries chosen for passenger coaches which says: "Saft Matrics MRX rechargeable nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) batteries willreplace the on-board lead-acid batteries on four new trainsets and 24 existing trainsets".

Take a look also at the news release from CMP Batteries, Batteries power record attempt, as well as Batteries safe hospital Eur 8.5 million from Saft Industrial Batteries, and Company makes vehicle battery choice from Saft Industrial Batteries.
