We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Leadscrew", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Converting from hydraulics to an electric actuator from Micromech, which we summarised at the time by saying "Micromech Technical Director Stirling Morley debunks some of the myths about electric linear actuators that have slowed their adoption in many applications". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Actuators provide precise positioning from PI (Physik Instrumente): "The Nexact system combines virtually unlimited travel ranges with high stiffness and bandwidth in a very small package".

In September 2007, we covered the news from WMH Transmissions concerning its Screwjacks Stock catalogue - take a look at Screwjack distribution deal reached which says: "WMH Transmissions' Screwjacks Stock catalogue includes the Merkur range of screwjacks, which have the capacity to lift loads from 2.5 to 500kN".

Take a look also at the news release from Ondrives/Rino Industries, Rolled leadscrews come with wide nut options, as well as Linear unit requires no maintenance from Igus (UK), and Piezomotor stages meet high-resolution needs from PI (Physik Instrumente).
