‘Lubricant’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release NSK bearings save costs for carbon-fibre producer from NSK UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "NSK's SpaceA range of bearings has solved a problem of premature failures of stainless-steel bearings used in the manufacture of carbon graphite and composite materials for aerospace applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Dualvee technology extends to subzero climates from Hepcomotion: "Hepcomotion is offering the low-temperature Dualvee motion technology range from Bishopwisecarver.".

In October 2009, we covered the news from NSK UK - take a look at NSK coatings supplied for traction motors which says: "NSK has developed two processes, one using ceramics, the other a PPS (polyphenylene sulphide) resin, both of which are used to coat the outer diameter and end face surfaces of the bearing outer ring. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Kluber Lubrication GB, Switch plate lubricant certified as biodegradable, as well as Steel producer expands Smart Wireless network from Emerson Process Management, and NSK offers custom bearings for wind power plants from NSK UK.
