Start with the news release Sapphire Advance 2 suits fast-moving applications from Rocol Lubricants, which we summarised at the time by saying "Rocol has extended its Sapphire product range with the addition of an advanced multipurpose grease that its says delivers three times the lifespan of conventional greases.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Empire supplies motors for ANSTO applications from Empire Magnetics: "Vacuum- and radiation-hardened gearmotors and resolvers from Empire Magnetics are being utilised by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO).".
 
In June 2009, we covered the news from Igus UK - take a look at Igubal plastic bearings increase system durability which says: "The Igubal system provides design engineers with a complete range of self-aligning bearings made of tribo-optimised plastic.".
