We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Luminaire", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
 
Start with the news release How emergency lighting saves lives from IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), which we summarised at the time by saying "This article about emergency lighting by Mark Frary was first published in the IEC's e-tech newsletter, June 2006". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Rapid prototyping verifies smoke alarm performance from 3T RPD: "When Sprue Aegis developed its innovative FireAngel PS-101 plug-in smoke alarm, prototype housings made by selective laser sintering were key to performance verification".
