Start with the news release Manufacturing show combines five events from Society of Manufacturing Engineers, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) has announced that Eastec 2007, the East Coast's Largest Annual Manufacturing Event, will feature five shows in one venue in 2007". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Seminar is dedicated to digital manufacturing from AMAP (University of Sunderland): "The Institute of Automotive and Manufacturing Advanced Practice (AMAP) is to hold a seminar dedicated to digital manufacturing in partnership with Delmia".
 
In September 2006, we covered the news from Manufacturer Live - take a look at Gripple grasps top manufacturing award which says: "Sheffield-based Gripple, a company that makes wire joiners, has beaten off competition from some of the giants of British Manufacturing to pick up the much coveted Manufacturer of the Year Award".
