We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Materials Testing", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Consultancy to share polymer expertise from Smithers Rapra, which we summarised at the time by saying "Centre will support customers from the initial materials selection, design, processing and prototype development, durability and compliance testing to failure analysis and recycling". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Re-inforced PVC boosts strength and stiffness from Polymer-Chemie: "The new material's increased strength and stiffness will usually permit a reduction in wall thickness while keeping product characteristics unchanged".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Lloyd Instruments concerning its LFPlus - take a look at Fixture puts packaging to the test which says: "New jig has been designed for compression testing using the low force (1kN) LFPlus single column universal materials testing machine".

Take a look also at the news release from Celsum Technologies, Accelerometers suit RandD, as well as Geotextiles replace traditional materials from Zwick Testing Machines, and Software eases information management from Granta Design.
