We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Multimeters", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
 
Start with the news release Test tools catalogue is updated for 2008 from Fluke (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "Product selection guides make it easy to choose the right tools and accompanying accessories for specific applications". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Multimeters quickly identify problems from Fluke (UK): "The Fluke 287 and 289 have an AC bandwidth of 100kHz, a 0.025% basic DC accuracy and include a temperature measurement function".
 
In July 2007, we covered the news from Data Translation concerning its Instrument Pak - take a look at Software eases instrument configuration which says: "Instrument Pak users can now easily and quickly configure applications with newer LXI instrument capabilities using IVI-COM drivers along with existing VISA and SCPI programs".
