Start with the news release Safety relays simplify control-system design from Eaton Corp, which we summarised at the time by saying "Safety relays in the Eaton Moeller ESR5 range simplify the design and implementation of control systems that meet safety and reliability standards.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release SKS to distribute XYZ machines tools in Scotland from SKS Engineering: "XYZ Machine Tools has appointed SKS Engineering as its distributor in Scotland to support the full XYZ range throughout the region.".
 
In November 2009, we covered the news from Freudenberg Simrit LP - take a look at Pitch gears with intelligent shaft sealing which says: "Simrit has developed a radial-shaft seal system featuring a leakage sensor that allows for telediagnosis of the shaft seal and automatically sends a signal when the seal's wear limit is reached. ".
