‘Optical Encoder’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Micro stepper motors bring pictures into focus from EMS, which we summarised at the time by saying "Electro Mechanical Systems has supplied Precistep micro-stepper motors to Life Optics to allow it to develop a compact, reliable and light-weight head-mounted microscope.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Insertion probes monitor bioproduction process from Stratophase: "Stratophase has collaborated with the Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) to develop an insertion probe variant of its Spectrosens system. ".

In November 2009, we covered the news from Hamamatsu Photonics - take a look at CMOS digital photo IC for colour sensing which says: "Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a 12-bit digital output colour sensor photo IC. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Souriau, Souriau creates optical contact for harsh settings, as well as Renishaw Tonic benefits wide-format printing from Renishaw, and Stemmer camera has monochrome CCD sensors from Stemmer Imaging.
