We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Optical Encoder", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Gear actuator facilities precise vehicle testing from Heason Technologies Group, which we summarised at the time by saying "Heason had to develop a compact, zero backlash, precision gear actuator which would allow ABD to offer higher rotation speeds while providing exceptionally smooth motion". A few weeks before, we featured the news release More optical encoders are made for washdown from Industrial Encoder Corporation: "Washdown encoders are designed with a stainless steel cover and housing and can be obtained with an IP67 sealing option".

In October 2007, we covered the news from Micromech concerning its Alio stages - take a look at Stages meet UHV requirements which says: "Alio stages primarily use linear ceramic servomotors for demanding UHV applications with nonoutgassing and linear servomotors for less demanding HV applications".

Take a look also at the news release from LG Motion, Optical encoder incorporated into guides, as well as Cylinders offer high-accuracy positioning from Festo, and Optical encoder series expanded from Avago Technologies.
