We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Optical Encoders", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release More optical encoders are made for washdown from Industrial Encoder Corporation, which we summarised at the time by saying "Washdown encoders are designed with a stainless steel cover and housing and can be obtained with an IP67 sealing option". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Optical encoders elevate performance in lifts from Industrial Encoder Corporation: "The IH950 and IH103 are available in any resolution up to a maximum of 50,000pulse/rev".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Sick Stegmann concerning its DFS 60 incremental encoder - take a look at Encoder suits tough industrial use which says: "A nickel code disc provides significantly more robust operation and tolerance to higher temperatures than conventional optical encoders that typically have a glass or plastic rotating disc".

Take a look also at the news release from Micromech, Stages meet UHV requirements, as well as Optical encoders receive resolution boost from US Digital, and Motor feedback systems handle high temperatures from Sick Stegmann.
