We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Permanent Magnets", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Torque motors are made for extruders from SSD Parvex, which we summarised at the time by saying "Torque motors for extruders integrate dedicated features that have been especially designed to respond to the specific needs of the plastics and rubber industries". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Valve handles demanding jobs from Moog Controls: "The combination of permanent magnets and electromagnetic coils results in spool driving forces considerably larger than those that can be obtained by solenoid coils alone".

In October 2007, we covered the news from EMS concerning its LM 1247 - take a look at Small motors suit medical applications which says: "Minimotor's LM1247 contains a metal cylinder filled with permanent magnets that moves concentrically inside the stator, resulting in a miniature linear motor with a powerful, dynamic performance".

Take a look also at the news release from Electron Energy Corporation, Company receives magnet grant, as well as Magnet company signs US Air Force contract from Electron Energy Corporation, and Slim motor offers high acceleration from Copley Controls Corp.
