We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Photoelectric Sensors", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Vision sensors take image processing onboard from Pepperl+Fuchs GB, which we summarised at the time by saying "Industrial vision sensors are suited for complex applications where standard photoelectric sensors are not sufficient". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Ultrasonic sensors have clear advantages from Contrinex UK: "Because ultrasonic sensors use sound waves to sense the position of the target and are unaffected by the degree of opaqueness of the container they are ideal to detect the clearest of targets".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Siemens Automation and Drives concerning its Simatic PXO830, PXO840, PXO650 L90L - take a look at Photo-electric sensors spot small objects which says: "Siemens Automation and Drives' proximity sensors can detect objects in a range of sizes, at ranges of up to 30m".

Take a look also at the news release from Pepperl+Fuchs GB, Photoelectric sensors fit in tight spaces, as well as Sensors detect transparent objects from IFM Electronic, and Photoelectric sensors offer noncontact measurement from Rockwell Automation.
