We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Precision Engineering", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Measuring device suits tiny components from Xpress Precision Engineering, which we summarised at the time by saying "Probing forces with the Gannen-XM are in the uN range and the probing system can be delivered with probing tips down to 50um". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Linear motion conference focuses on precision from Renishaw: "The Linear Motion Masterclass will focus on how linear motion is moving into the realm of high accuracy and precision applications".

In January 2008, we covered the news from IBS Precision Engineering concerning its OptiGauge - take a look at Probe offers fast thickness measurements which says: "The OptiGauge system measures multilayer, flat or round stock with an accuracy of + 0.1 microns".

Take a look also at the news release from Scott Bader Company, Marine composites meet luxury yacht standards, as well as Wireless probes get the measure of JCB parts from Renishaw, and Non-contact sensors offer high precision from IBS Precision Engineering.
