We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Predictive Maintenance", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Lightweight vibration sensors monitor production from Hansford Sensors, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hansford Sensors' HS-130 is suitable for use where space is limited or where the additional weight would alter the test characteristics". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Sealed accelerometer raises reeliability from Wilcoxon Research: "The 787F accelerometer's integral cable is permanently mounted, eliminating a common concern that contaminants can penetrate the connector".

In February 2008, we covered the news from Datastick Systems concerning its VSA-1225 vibration spectrum analyser - take a look at Portable vibration analyser keeps costs down which says: "The iPAQ supplies the computing power and 128Mbyte of data storage, while the Datastick VSA hardware module supplies the sensor power, Datastick electronics and interface".

Take a look also at the news release from AV Technology, Outsourced predictive maintenance makes sense, as well as Database and portal keep track of rotating assets from Deritend Group, and Isolated I/O module serves as counter/timer from Acromag.
