‘Profibus’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Pepperl+Fuchs announces remote I/O systems from Pepperl+Fuchs GB, which we summarised at the time by saying "Designed to facilitate the connection of traditional input and output signals onto a bus network, Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced the LB/FB remote I/O systems.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Watlow's Profibus DP simplifies plant design from Watlow: "Watlow has brought out the Profibus DP (Decentralized Peripherals) with EZ-Zone PM and EZ-Zone RM integrated temperature controllers. ".

In October 2009, we covered the news from Parker Hannifin - Electromechanical and Drives Division - take a look at AC drives permit wider use of magnet motors which says: "Parker Hannifin has launched a range of AC drives that allows energy-efficient permanent magnet motors to be used in a wide range of pump, fan and compressor applications. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Hima Paul Hildebrandt, Himax increases chlorine plant availability, as well as Rotork provides valve actuators for Severn Trent from Rotork Controls, and MVD transmitter technology enhances Emerson meters from Emerson Process Management.
