‘Proximity Switches’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release Process technology installed at biodiesel refinery from Flow Line Options, which we summarised at the time by saying "Flow Line Options has supplied Smart Fuels, an alternative-energy company, with process measurement and control solutions for its new biodiesel facility in Fruitland Park, Florida.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Liquiphant accurately measures liquid levels from Endress+Hauser: "Endress and Hauser's Liquiphant is a vibrating level switch for accurate limit detection and point level-measurement of liquids.".

In November 2009, we covered the news from EMS - take a look at Viscotec devises drive solution for dosage units which says: "Viscotec Pumpen and Faulhaber have devised a drive solution for dosage units on a system that comprises a fast DC drive and high-precision piezo rotary drive, mounted on a common spindle. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Amplicon, Ethernet I/O range cuts costs in remote monitoring, as well as Minitec releases News 2009 brochure from MiniTec UK, and Wirelesshart switch enables level detection from Emerson Process Management.
