We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Rapid Prototyping", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Rapid prototyping materials set the standard from 3D Systems Europe, which we summarised at the time by saying "Materials create small and large Pro Parts with beautiful surfaces, fine features and crisp edges, delivering the quality and feel of injection-moulded polypropylene, ABS and polycarbonate". The same day, we featured the news release Rapid prototyping expands to sheet-metal parts from Xpress Product Development Group: "Dedicated state-of-the-art equipment including laser cutting are employed to offer typical project deliveries in 2-4 days".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Autodesk concerning its Autodesk Inventor - take a look at Innovation beats efficiency which says: "Best-in-class manufacturers make fewer prototypes says Mike Lucas of Autodesk Manufacturing".

Take a look also at the news release from Rapid Techniques, Fast 3D printing speeds footwear design, as well as PC-driven prototyping adds design confidence from Micromech, and Modeller incorporates CAD software from 3D Systems Europe.
