Start with the news release Actuator system for sampling applications from Heason Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Heason Technology has launched a low-cost modular actuator range for pick-and-place and sample dispensing in life science and other analytical equipment applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release CNC router reduces time to market from Micromech: "A manufacturer of personal care products has saved money by switching to a low-cost computerised numerical control (CNC) router that can produce point of purchase displays internally.".
 
In November 2009, we covered the news from EMS - take a look at Viscotec devises drive solution for dosage units which says: "Viscotec Pumpen and Faulhaber have devised a drive solution for dosage units on a system that comprises a fast DC drive and high-precision piezo rotary drive, mounted on a common spindle. ".
