‘Rotary Tables’

An Engineeringtalk guide

Start with the news release CNC router reduces time to market from Micromech, which we summarised at the time by saying "A manufacturer of personal care products has saved money by switching to a low-cost computerised numerical control (CNC) router that can produce point of purchase displays internally.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Viscotec devises drive solution for dosage units from EMS: "Viscotec Pumpen and Faulhaber have devised a drive solution for dosage units on a system that comprises a fast DC drive and high-precision piezo rotary drive, mounted on a common spindle. ".

In November 2009, we covered the news from Laser Design - take a look at NIST installs 3D scanning system from Laser Design which says: "The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has installed a Laser Design Surveyor WS Series 3D laser scanning system in its Materials Reliability Division in Boulder, Colorado.".

Take a look also at the news release from Renishaw, Renishaw system checks rotary-axis alignment, as well as SDI torque pickup has internal digital data link from Sensor Developments, and Dawn Mini Logger enables in-vehicle diagnostics from HEM Data Corp.
