We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Scara Robots", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Robots offer increased versatility from System Devices, which we summarised at the time by saying "Users can attach large-size multi-hands to the robot, making it capable of grasping different types of products". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Precision gear sets claimed as world's smallest from Harmonic Drive UK: "Harmonic Drive's new gear components typically measure less than 8.0mm in diameter, with an axial length of under 1.0mm and a tooth module of just 34 microns".

In January 2007, we covered the news from TM Robotics (Europe) concerning its TH450 - take a look at Speedy SCARA works from above which says: "Ceiling mounted version of the Toshiba Machine TH450 SCARA saves space in the manufacturing cell by allowing access to the working area from above".

Take a look also at the news release from Kuka Robotics, Space-saving robots boast long reach, as well as Robots show off conveyor tracking at Motek from TM Robotics (Europe), and New family of scara robots from Kuka Robotics.
