Start with the news release Tyco adds locking collar to cable connector range from Tyco Electronics UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "Tyco Electronics has introduced a connector latch locking collar for its range of Solarlok cable connectors.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Terminal block features internal jumper system from Wago Corp: "Wago Corporation's 805 Series side-entry PCBs are designed to simplify wiring via push-in and push-button-actuated terminations. ".
 
In September 2009, we covered the news from AP Technology - take a look at Squich connectors deliver quick termination which says: "AP Technology has announced the availability of the Squich range of ILME tool-free industrial connectors, which are said to deliver a 50 per cent faster termination than screw terminals. ".
