We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Self-locking", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Engineeringtalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Ceramic actuators clean up on medical applications from PI (Physik Instrumente), which we summarised at the time by saying "PI offers three advanced types of ceramic, nonmagnetic linear motor actuators that can replace classical actuators in medical and pharmaceutical applications". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Steel cable ties provide durable connections from Rivia Enterprises: "Rivia's stainless steel cable ties are designed for use in applications which need to withstand vibration, weathering and corrosion".

In September 2007, we covered the news from PI (Physik Instrumente) concerning its N-310 Nexact - take a look at Actuators provide piezo-class resolution which says: "Miniature ceramic linear motor actuator bridges the gap between micro- and nanopositioning devices".

Take a look also at the news release from Staytite, Low-cost nut passes vibration tests, as well as A locking fastener that can be reused from Spiralock, and Plugs lock into F135 engines from Moeller Manufacturing.
